A goodbye visit by the Ambassador of South Africa to Assumption University
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Africa H.E. Mr. Geoffrey Quinton Mitchell Doidge (05.04.2017- December 15, 2020) and Mrs. Carol Ingrid Doidge paid a farewell visit to the President-Rector Magnificus of Assumption University at his office at the Hua mak campus on December 1, 2020.

in their three and a half years in Thailand grew close to the president, some of the Faculty, and the students of Assumption University. In 2018 and 2019 on the occasion of the South Africa National Day, the Assumption University Choral group was invited to sing the Royal Thai Anthem, and the African Freedom Song while in 2019 and 2020 the Ambassador and his wife participated in the Holy Masses for the Assumption Day celebrations which also marked the Opening and the closing the Assumption University 50 th Anniversary celebrations.
On July 17, 2018 Ambassador Geoffrey Doidge delivered an Address to the Martin detours School of Management to commemorate the Centennial birth anniversary of Nelson Mandela, the Founding freedom fighter of South Africa
